TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS APPLICATION. BY ACCESSING OR USING THE MOSQUE FINDER & PRAYER TIMES APPLICATION (THE "APPLICATION" OR "APP"), YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ("TERMS"). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THE APPLICATION.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and the operators of the Mosque Finder & Prayer Times Application ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

The Application is a mobile software application designed to help users locate mosques (masjids) and access information about Islamic prayer times (Jamat/Jamaat times). The Application provides the following services:

• Location-based mosque discovery and navigation
• Prayer time schedules for mosques
• User-generated content including mosque information, updates, and verification
• Map integration services via Google Maps Platform and Apple Maps
• Community-driven mosque database maintenance
• Gamified contribution tracking and leaderboard rankings
• Optional phone/WhatsApp number sharing to facilitate voluntary community donations to Imams and Muajjins

3. ELIGIBILITY AND USER ACCOUNTS

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Application.
• Account Registration: Certain features may require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain security of your credentials, and accept responsibility for all activities under your account.

12. PHONE NUMBER COLLECTION AND USE

• Optional Disclosure: Providing your phone number is entirely voluntary and optional. It is not required for any core feature.
• Limited Purpose: If provided, your phone number is stored solely to enable the Community Donation feature, allowing other users to contact you via WhatsApp to make voluntary contributions directly to you as an Imam or Muajjin.
• No Platform Payment Processing: The Application does not collect, process, hold, or facilitate any payment transactions. All transactions occur exclusively and directly between donor and recipient outside our platform.
• User Control: You may remove your phone number from your profile at any time via Edit Profile. It will no longer be visible to other users upon removal.
• No Sharing with Third Parties: Your phone number is never shared with, sold to, or used by any third-party advertisers or data brokers.

13. COMMUNITY DONATION FEATURE — DISCLAIMER

• Peer-to-Peer Only: The Application acts solely as a directory/referral tool. Clicking “Donate” redirects you to WhatsApp to contact the individual directly. No donation flows through our platform.
• No Financial Intermediary: We are not a payment processor, escrow service, or fundraising platform. We do not receive, hold, or process any funds on behalf of any user.
• No Guarantee of Use: We make no warranty or guarantee regarding how donated funds will be used by the recipient.
• Voluntary Act: Donating is a completely voluntary, personal, and private act between you and the recipient. We are not responsible for any outcome of such transactions.
• Disclaimer of Liability: We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss, harm, dispute, or dissatisfaction arising from any donation facilitated by this feature. You assume full responsibility for any funds you transfer.
• No Vetting of Recipients: We do not independently verify the identity, credentials, or legitimacy of any individual listed. Users are encouraged to use their own judgment.
• Religious Context: This feature is offered in the spirit of Islamic community support. It is not a religious obligation enforced by the platform.

PRIVACY POLICY

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. This includes:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, profile picture (optional).
• User-Generated Content: Mosque details, prayer times, photos, reviews.
• Location Data (Precise and Background Location): With your explicit consent, we access and collect your device's precise location (GPS) data. This includes accessing your location in the foreground (when the application is open and active) and in the background (when the application is closed or not in active use).
• Automatically Collected Information: Device type, usage data, IP address.

1.1 COMPREHENSIVE DISCLOSURE ON LOCATION DATA & BACKGROUND ACCESS

Our application requests access to precise location data, including background location permission (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION / "Allow Always"), to power our core, community-driven features. Here is how your location data is accessed, processed, and protected:

• Core Location-Based Services: We use your precise location in the foreground to discover nearby mosques, display relative distances, calculate local prayer times, and provide accurate navigation instructions to your chosen place of worship.
• Background Proximity & Jamat Attendance Verification: When you enable the automated check-in feature ("Automated Jamat Verification"), the Application accesses your location in the background—even when the app is closed or not in active use. This is used exclusively to detect when you physically arrive at a mosque's predefined geofenced coordinates to verify and automatically update mosque Jamat times for the benefit of the community.
• Privacy Safeguards & Zero Storage Policy:
  • No Location Logging or Tracking: We do not record, log, store, or maintain a persistent history of your movements, travel routes, or past locations in our databases. Your location trail is never saved on our servers or your device.
  • Ephemeral & Local-First Processing: When you grant "Allow Always" (background location) permission, proximity scanning is processed locally and ephemerally on your own device. The application only wakes up briefly to verify when you physically cross a mosque's geofenced boundaries.
  • Anonymized Verification Only: To protect your identity, when the app verifies a Jamat time at a mosque, it only transmits a secure, anonymized presence confirmation (e.g., a simple timestamp of mosque arrival) to update prayer times for the benefit of the community. No personal movement trails or coordinates are ever sent to or stored on our servers.
  • No Advertising or Monetization: We are 100% committed to keeping your privacy sacred. Your location data is never sold, rented, shared, or leased to third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or commercial analytics firms.
  • Full User Control: Granting background location is completely optional. You can easily enable, disable, or revoke "Always Allow" location permissions at any time through your device’s system settings without losing the ability to manually look up mosques and calculate prayer times.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To provide and improve Application features.
• To display nearby mosques and prayer times (using foreground and background geofence coordinates).
• To process and display community contributions (including automated Jamat verification via background presence checks).
• To communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
• To protect against fraud and ensure security.
• Phone Number (if provided): Used exclusively to display a “Donate” contact button on your public profile, visible only to other logged-in users. Never used for marketing, automated calling, or SMS campaigns.

3. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

• Public Contributions: Mosque details and prayer times you contribute are visible to all users.
• Public Profile Phone Number: If you have voluntarily added a phone number, it may be displayed to other logged-in users on your public profile page for the sole purpose of facilitating the Community Donation feature. By adding your phone number, you consent to this limited disclosure.
• Service Providers: We use Google Maps and Apple Maps for location services. Their use of data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law.

4. YOUR RIGHTS (Including Data Deletion)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage your profile in the app settings or request account deletion via our Account Deletion Page.

5. CHILD SAFETY POLICY

We strictly prohibit any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. We provide mechanisms to report inappropriate content and take immediate action on such reports.
